Abstract: Famous names have attracted the attention of researchers for a long
time. Scientists are interested in the history of their appearance, meaning, history in
society, people's outlook and beliefs, and their connection with the surrounding nature.
If we take into account that interest in onomastics has increased significantly, this is
reflected in the appearance of all kinds of books devoted to original nomenclature, in
the publication of numerous dictionaries of personal names and surnames, as well as
in many scientific publications. will be This article examines, analyzes, and discusses
the specifics of linguistics as a research object, the place of onomastics in Uzbek
linguistics today, and its future prospects.
