Abstract

Abstract: There is the possibility of transmitting information through optical space without the use of any waveguide structures. In the scientific literature, the disadvantages of using the method of transmitting data using radio waves and the impossibility of effective use of radio communication as a communication channel in 5G, 6G networks were noted. In this regard, the article describes the requirements, features for a new generation of cellular networks. Various technologies of wireless optical communication and their physical properties are considered.
