Annotation. Uzbekistan, nestled at the heart of Central Asia, boasts a diverse and dynamic economic landscape characterized by a mix of traditional industries and emerging sectors. As the country continues to undergo economic reforms and liberalization, the types of industries operating within its borders have evolved to reflect changing market dynamics and global trends. Amongst these, small businesses play a crucial role, serving as engines of innovation, job creation, and economic resilience. In this introduction, we embark on a journey to explore the types of industries that thrive in Uzbekistan, from traditional sectors rooted in centuries-old traditions to the burgeoning realm of small businesses driving forward the nation's entrepreneurial spirit and economic growth.
