Abstract

Abstract: this article explores the various types of context and lexio-semantic features that influence the meaning and usage of words in English grammar. It examines how the surrounding linguistic and situational environment, as well as the inherent semantic properties of words, contribute to their interpretation and function within a language system. The key concepts discussed include deictic, linguistic, and social context, as well as paradigmatic, syntagmatic, and collocational relationships between words. Understanding these aspects is crucial for effective communication, language acquisition, and analysis of English grammar.
