LINGUA-CULTURAL PROBLEMS OF TRANSLATION

Abstract

Abstract: Translation is an important tool in communication, which enables
people to interact with others from different cultures. However, translating from one
language to another is not always easy and straightforward. One of the main problems
in translation is cultural differences and linguistic nuances that can cause confusion,
miscommunication and even offence. This article explores the cultural problems of
translation, focusing on the lingua-cultural problems that translators face in the process
of transferring messages from one culture to another. The article identifies the different
cultural barriers that can arise in translation and provides some strategies for
overcoming them.
