Abstract

Abstract: The article highlights the challenges faced by language learners and their
need for exposure to improve their listening skills. Video materials have emerged as an
effective tool to provide learners with exposure to native speakers, enabling them to
practice outside of the classroom. Moreover, video materials offer a visual context that
helps learners to understand the concepts better and improve comprehension. These
materials can also be used to teach specific listening skills, such as note-taking and
listening speed, and cultural awareness. Additionally, video materials provide learners
with exposure to real-life situations, helping them recognize different language
functions. Overall, incorporating video materials into language teaching practice can
significantly improve listening skills and help learners achieve better outcomes.
